Yesterday we had an amazing dinner at Seven Lanterns. We chose the 6-course dégustation menu, and it’s hard to say which course was our favourite. They were all delicious! We especially appreciated how carefully the staff accommodated the garlic and shellfish allergies of two people in our group, with wonderful alternative dishes prepared for them. The staff were also extremely friendly. Definitely a place we would love to return to!

Seven courses at Seven Lanterns and every bite was a banger. Started strong with fresh sashimi on a zingy slaw, golden crispy dumplings, and that cheeky little corn + chicken combo? Unreal. The grilled prawn was buttery perfection, the pumpkin soup was silky and comforting, and the steak main? Cooked beautifully with a glossy glaze that should honestly be illegal. And don’t even get me started on the sticky date pudding—rich, warm, and paired with a scoop of heaven. But what truly elevated the night? The owner and chef himself—an absolute delight. Fun, passionate, and clearly proud of every plate that left the kitchen. He even shared stories about his other restaurant and his wife (the brilliant mind behind that dessert I’m still thinking about). Incredible food, warm energy, and heart behind every dish. 9/10—will be bringing friends next time (but not sharing dessert).

Delicious fresh tasty food and fantastic service! We had such a lovely dinner here and David the owner personally served our food, explaining each dish and how to best enjoy it. Everything we had was packed with flavour and so yummy. Our favourite dish was the Kingfish! Stunning! Will definitely be going back to try the rest of the menu. Thanks!
